Lissa Firor, Student Programs Coordinator
As a senior studying Environmental Science, Lissa has been extensively involved with sustainability efforts at UI for the last four years. She started working for UISC in Fall 2007 as our Communications Coordinator. Her experience also includes grant writing for a wetland revitalization project, leadership in the Environmental Club, Residence Hall recycling programs, and a variety of volunteer activities.
Jannis Jocius, Project Coordinator
A graduate student studying Conservation Social Sciences in the College of Natural Resources, Jannis has worked for the National Park Service as a biological technician creating an invasive weed management plan and as a science communicator for the Upper Columbia Basin Network (UCBN--an inventory and monitoring division of the park service). Jannis has been an environmental education instructor at the McCall Outdoor Science School (MOSS) and volunteered for a year in AmeriCorps. She currently volunteers at the UI organic farm, enjoys running, hiking, bicycling and exploring.
Stephanie McNelis, Volunteer Coordinator
Since transferring to UI as a student in Conservation Social Science, Stephanie has volunteered with the Village Bicycle Project, the Humane Society of the Palouse, and the UI Environmental Club. Before enrolling at UI, she also served as a panel member and an officer of Students for Progressive Change at North Idaho College where she organized events to promote social and environmental awareness and activism.
Kelsi Nagle, Event Planner
Kelsi is a third year student double majoring in Political Science and Public Relations. She has worked the past two years with the Residence Hall Association and was named Freshman of the Year in 2007. She hopes to work on public relations for political campaigns in the future.
